Baby won’t take bottle
My baby is 15 weeks today and he’s EBF and we have been trying since the start to give him bottles as well so my SO can help with feeding and bonding like he did with our daughter and so other people can feed him as well.
We have had no luck. I’ve tried Dr. Brown glass bottles (what my daughter took) comotomo, MAM and avent. We have tried warming the nipple, giving in different positions, giving when hungry or not very hungry, tried different people giving it to him, tried it when he was half asleep, everything!
My husband and I will be gone for 6 days in July when he’s 7 months and 8 days in September when he is 8 months and he will be staying with my parents.
Everyone keeps telling me not to worry about it because it’s aways away and by that point he should take a bottle because he will be older, or if he’s really hungry he will eat, but I’m terrified he won’t and he will starve, or we won’t be going because he won’t eat from it.
He also won’t take a pacifier, but loves sucking on my knuckle. It’s like if it’s not human he doesn’t want it.
Please give me some ideas! What worked for you? Does anyone have a baby who did just continue to refuse the bottle even when starving? I’m so stressed.
