Heavy, late period- another MC or just a bad period?

Hello! I had a MMC in January at 6 weeks, and a natural miscarriage two weeks later. I wasn’t getting positive pregnancy tests anymore about two weeks after that, and I had a normal period at the end of February. At my last visit, they gave me an ultrasound and said that the lining was still a little thick, but everything else was good.

Today my period started, about a week late. Usually it starts pretty slowly, but this has been very heavy with lots of small clots from the beginning.

Any experience about what this could be? Could it be that I’m just now getting that last bit of lining out? The period I had in February was definitely not any heavier than normal for me, even after a MC. Or could this be a miscarriage/chemical of a new pregnancy? I’m traveling so I won’t be able to take a test until tomorrow, but I don’t even really know if that would help me figure out what is going on.
