cerclage

well you can consider me as a first time mom to be since i lost my twins at 18 weeks, but i really just want to know if any of you mommies or mommies-to-be have ever had a cerclage procedure done on you. i have an incompetent cervix, which is why i lost my twins. i get the surgery done on friday & i am kinda scared about it. can any of you let me know about your experiences? were you put on bed rest? was it in an actual surgery room? who can be there with you? post-surgery.. etc.
