Cervical checks

I'm a ER RN and my OB wants to do a cervical check at my 35w3d appt and I would say I'm on the fence but leaning towards refusing. I plan to have a natural labor with little to no medical interventions or medications. Since term is not until 37 weeks I'm considering refusing the check because there is nothing beneficial to having the checks done. I'm not worried about it being uncomfortable. Just in my opinion it does not change how I would do things. I can tell baby is head down d/t kicks in the ribs, can feel her bottom at my belly button, hiccups in lower pelvis and rectum. What's your opinions??
