Sleeping 😴😴

My little man is about to be two months old in about a week and a half & I feel like I’ve slept about 10 hours since he’s been born.

He sleeps on average about 2 hours in the night so I’m always trying to get him back to sleep as soon as I can. I’m a stay at home mama and my husband works so we came up with a system where I take over at 8pm so he can sleep til 2am and then he’ll take him at 2am til 5am which is when he leaves for work. And during that 8pm to 2am stretch when I have my son I’m able to nap when he naps but again...only 2 hours at a time.

So if he naps three times i technically am getting 6 hours of sleep but because it’s in two hour increments it never feels like sleeping, only napping. And then when my husband takes him it’s only a 3 hour nap until he is back with me. 😕 My husband told me we can change our routine but I don’t know how to adjust. Is anyone else in the same boat?

For those who aren’t, how much does your baby sleep & at what age did they start sleeping for a longer period of time? What system did you have in place in the beginning when baby only slept very little?

& YES I have tried sleeping when he sleeps but once again it’s such a short time napping 🤕
