Stopping progesterone at 12 wks?

I’ve been on oral progesterone since I conceived due to previous miscarriage, and I’m supposed to stop now that I’m 12 weeks (I’m also about to run out of pills). Do you think I should ask to keep taking it? Are there side effects from stopping? I’m just so nervous about stopping.

I just stopped taking my progesterone pills, last week, at 12 weeks. I was nervous to stop, but everything was fine. I also just had another ultrasound and babies are doing well.

I stopped around 13 and I was really nervous to stop since it was 7.6 at 9 weeks, but baby boy is totally healthy in there!

I’m supposed to stop at 10 so no worries!

From what I know, you don’t need progesterone after 12 weeks, because the placenta is completely formed and is doing its job now. So no more progesterone pills. But I would contact my Dr. to ask to make sure of course.
