Building supply while twins are in the NICU ?

So I’m really overwhelmed by the thought of breastfeeding twins. I still have a ways to go before delivering but it’s constantly on my mind. I have zero experience breastfeeding bc I didn’t breastfeed my son either. I had to be induced with my son at 36 weeks and he spent about 5 days in the NICU. I’m anticipating the same if not longer for my twins. Is it realistic to think I could build a fridge/freezer supply to at least get them started for when they come home and then continue to pump? I know a lot of moms say it’s easier to breastfeed than bottle feed twins but I just want all the help I can get. 😬

I’ve been doing a combination of breastfeeding and bottle feeding my twins who are now 5 months old.  I had to start pumping right after I delivered them because neither of my girls could latch.  I pumped every 3 hours after breastfeeding for about 8 weeks.  I was able to store a decent supply of milk and it really helped my supply in general.  We have always bottle fed at night so I could have help with their feedings.  Now I only pump during the night when they wake up for a bottle.  The pumped milk is nice to have if anyone else needs to feed a baby and I’m not available.  
Breastfeeding is really hard.  Having twins is really hard. Try to set reasonable expectations for yourself and Make sure you don’t put to much pressure on yourself and reach out for support with lactation consultant if you need it.  Stay strong momma!

My twins were born at 33 weeks and both spent exactly 1 month in the hospital. I exclusively pumped and bottle fed. I over produced and was able to build my stash at home. The NICU actually told me to stop bringing milk in because they were running out of storage and couldn’t believe how much I was able to produce so quickly.

I had my twin boys at 37 weeks and 3 days, all natural vaginas birth and my twins came home with me the next day. I think ebf twins is to difficult. I pumped, breastfed, and formula fed. I loved pumping because it allowed other to help me, like my boyfriend and my mom. I did formula when I needed to work or go to school. I did breast at night feedings. I did a combination for a year and it saved my life lol. But probably because my twins cane home with me and they where my first kids.

Following! I’m having my twins in two weeks at 36! I know some twins don’t need any NICU at that gestation, but mine have been measuring so small, I’m not so sure. Plus they’re wimpy white males (doctors term, not mine).

I gave birth at 38 weeks. Only one of my twins needed NICU time and it was only for three days. I pumped for her but just so she’d get colostrum. 
They will be 7 weeks tomorrow and I’ve been EBF them. It’s hard work and there are days when I want to give up but I always convince myself.. one more day. I hope to make it to a year like I did with my other children. 
I don’t have much experience in building a supply to feed in bottles. I never did with my others. I go back to work in August however so I started pumping the other day, once a day. I have less than 10oz saved up but it’s only been two days.
