Say you were suddenly in a position where you could afford to never work a day in your life again - would you keep working because you enjoy it or would you never work again?

My dad is obsessed with money and has the attitude of "work hard to enjoy yourself later" which works for him because he's pretty loaded and able to live very comfortably. It's not my attitude at all though - I'd prefer to work in a job I enjoy and just be careful with money. This came up in conversation between us and he said he'd quit and never go back but I'd just find a job I enjoyed and might not pay as well because I get satisfaction out of working and actively doing something.
