Did the Butt Stuff, Now a UTI

This week, I’m sure I’ve been battling the beginnings of a UTI after my BF decided to finger & go into my butt! Not happy. I went to the pharmacy, got meds for it but they all don’t cure the problem, just help with pain. Been drinking water, cran. juice, etc. I stopped the meds because I fulfilled the days to take it but it’s still lingering...What to do? AND What to tell the BF?

What meds did you get exactly? If it were antibiotics prescribed by a doctor and they didn’t work then you need to go back and tell your doctor. If you just picked up Azo then yes that makes sense because azo does not treat a uti it only masks and relieves the symptoms.

Don’t mess around with UTI can easily turn into a dangerous situation. My mother literally got out of the ICU from a UTI that turned septic because of ECOLI bacteria from her wiping back to front (PS: don’t do that ever).

In November, I was at a friends house and I was in extreme pain thinking it was cramping. Hours later, I was peeing blood clots and the pain spread to my back, my urethra, bladder everywhere. Its uncomfortable, peeing was painful and frequent. The worst part, I couldn't walk. I couldnt walk without crying and leaning on something. I went to the ER with my boyfriend's mom after EXPLAINING to her what happened which was horrific. I was diagnosed with one of the worst cases of UTI they had ever seen. I didn't even notice it until that day, and thankfully I went that day, they were extremely worried it spread to my kidneys. I went on two weeks on antibiotics and painkillers.
Please get real antibiotics and painkillers from a real doctor and pharmacist. Please, please, please, I beg you.

I got a UTI once when I was still living with my parents. I was afraid to say anything to them because they’d‘ve kicked me out if they knew I was having sex (even though I was already 18). I didn’t know what it was at first, so I talked to an older female coworker. She told me that it was most likely a UTI and I should go to the doctor’s.
I explained why I was afraid to (because I was under my parents and I wasn’t sure if the military doctor’s would tell them), so she gave me 4 antibiotics that she didn’t take from a previous illness. (Yes, I know taking someone else’s medicine is highly dangerous and maybe even illegal, but I was desperate and didn’t know what else to do.)
I took them (1/day) and looked up other home remedies to help also. I drank a ton of lemon water and ate a lot of bananas and fruits that were high in antioxidants. It was gone within 2 weeks I believe.
