Have any of you had your baby suddenly reject breastfeeding? For the last month my nearly 5 month old will scream and cry and resist when I’m trying to breastfeed him. He cries in hunger and it’s been long enough since his last feeding, but then when I feed him he’s fine for the first minute or two and then typically starts screaming and it’s just a struggle from there. Sometimes he’ll cry for awhile and then settle down and eat, and other times there’s no consoling him so I cut it off. He doesn’t do it every meal either - once or twice a day but is typically fine for nighttime feeds.

My pediatrician doesn’t have much to say about it since he’s gaining weight just fine. He takes at least one bottle a day with my husband and sometimes more when my MIL watches him and that goes fine (nuk simply natural slow flow bottles).

I don’t want to stop breastfeeding but I’m not sure how much more of this I can take. Has anyone else been through this??
