However, Is it really neccessary to go to your spouses/partner's affair partner to ask them questions about the affair to get more answers and the truth, even though your so/partner told you and possibly showed you every single thing...

Also, is this something the betrayed spouse feels they have to do 5-18 months after discovering their partner/spouse had an affair?
