Irritable uterus??

Last night I made a trip to labor and delivery after talking to the on call physician at my hospital.  I went in for a constant tightening, and mild cramping occasionally. Thankfully they didn't pick up any contractions but said my uterus was irritable. So they gave me Procardia and lots of fluids. Has anyone else been told this?? Still this morning I'm feeling the same tightness and cramping so I'm not sure what to do...

I have the same issue. Taking procardia 3X a day up to 4 when the cramping/contractions are worse. I did get placed on bed rest. Last appt I was 2cm dilated.

Try some cold Gatorade... sometimes you need some of the electrolytes you’re not getting with water. My Ob nurse always recommended drinking big cold Gatorade with a straw and taking Tylenol.

I went into L&D last night too for period like cramping that were coming about 5 minutes apart. She picked up some contractions on the monitor but they started spacing out further apart and got less painful. She checked me too and my cervix was closed and not soft still. She boiled it down to overstimulation and not enough hydration and said my uterus was irritable. The contractions are basically gone now but baby is still moving a ton! He does NOT like the tightening lol. So I’m just trying to drink as much water as I can and rest all day like they told me too 🤷🏻‍♀️
