would this be a nice thing to do ?

a new couple just moved in next door from me and my fiance ! I have a 6 week old baby boy and they are expecting a little boy soon as well. the guys have met and talked about how excited they are for our boys to have a friend to grow up with next door. I haven't met his wife yet but do you think she would accept some newborn baby clothes that haven't been worn ? the tags are off and I washed the clothes of course thinking that my baby would be able to fit in them but he was a big boy when he was born. do you think she would be hesitant because she doesn't know us ? I'm a very clean person. I just don't want her to accept them and throw them out because I could always bring them to a donation center.
