When will you tell your job/boss you’re pregnant?

Question

For those of you with full administrative roles, when are you planning on telling your work/boss/HR you’re pregnant and your EDD? For my first one, I had to tell them right away as my previous position involved working with clients with physical aggression. Now that I’m in a full administrative role, I’m not sure when the appropriate time to tell them. I honestly am trying to hold off as long as I can.

I told my co-manager and my boss pretty early on because I was already experiencing 24/7 nausea. It was hard to hide and it was better to let them know what was going on rather than to keep taking random sick days. However, everyone else at the job will find out when I start showing more!

I told my boss the day after I found out, partially because we're friends and partially because I work crime scenes as part of my job and I knew I wouldnt feel up to being on call for that this month. I also told our admins, honestly to use it as leverage to keep someone else that we need in our unit (its a long story). I'll go to HR after the first trimester probably.

I’m the lead in my office. I told my boss right away as we have radiation in the office and I need to take precautions on certain days. Plus she needs time to find a new me while I’m gone as she like to put it lol

I told my director at 6.5 weeks. One of my workers is also pregnant (12-13 weeks now) so I felt that i had to tell my boss since we’ll both be needing time for appointments.

I told my manager right away. Partly because we’re friends and partly because I work in EMS so there’s the whole safety issue. I’ve been slowly telling my crew mates so they know why I’m demanding a lift assist.  We’re a pretty tight knit group so it’s been pretty easy so far.

I’m a nurse so we work 12 hour, very strenuous shifts and I told as many people as I could when I found out I was pregnant just so they were aware that I would be taking it lightly and to not expect me to do any heavy lifting, pushing or pulling — also because the morning sickness is real and I work nights so it hits in the middle of my shift and I wanted them to know why I was ditching to the BR/breakroom so often.  (:
