Who does the communicating regarding social events with your inlaws in your relationship?

I have as little to do with my in-laws as possible. My husband is always the one who communicates with them about stuff.

My take is that just because I'm a woman does not mean I'm the Household Affairs Coordinator or whatever.
If he wants to plan things with his family, remember birthdays, send gifts, etc. that's on him. If they're visiting, it's his responsibility to keep them entertained and fed.  If his family were to get mad at me for not doing this stuff, I don't care 🤷 If they wanted him to be a better host, maybe they should have thought of that when they were raising him.

Mostly my husband does all the communicating and that’s really because there’s a language barrier.
