Anyone having issues with breastfeeding?

Baby is a week old. Having major issues trying to breastfeed- thinking of giving up. Baby is liking formula. Any advice or stories?

Based on my personal experience and not knowing what issues you're having I'd say keep at it.  Supplement with formula where you need to, but always pump when you do that to encourage your milk supply among (even if nothing comes out it still signals the breast to make milk). Try to find a lactation consultant.  My hospital had weekly open meetings with one that has been a game changer.  I feel you though.  That first week was so rough for me.  Cracked nipples, and baby was hungrier than I could produce.  Ultimately fed is best so do what you feel to be best, but if you are set on breast feeding it does get easier.  Good luck mama!

Breastfeeding is SO HARD!!! I only did it with my first for a couple months and put her on formula. 
I’m pregnant with my second I since I know what to expect I’m hoping to breastfeed a lot longer. 
Try pumping if you can. 
You can even supplement with formula and just give baby whatever you have.

Yes, indeed I have issues!
As others have said, a week isn't much. It feels like much, but it isn't. You're both still learning this!
I have issues with her letting go too early. I've tried placing her at both in each feeding, but she still doesn't get enough. She is having some stomach trouble as well and we had to supply with formula for a few days. Now I'm not sure what to do because I want a happy baby, but she's still letting go too early. She isn't full at all!
What is recommended for you is to sleep/redt whenever possible. Eat well, stay hydrated (Really important!) and relax.
Due to her stomach issues I'm struggling with all of the above 🙈

Breastfeeding is hard in the beginning for both mom and baby. Getting into a routine and getting through the first few weeks of discomfort are not easy. 
Long run you will build a one of a kind bond with your baby. Your giving baby everything they need. Don’t be afraid to speak to a LC, they can be life changing.

Breastfeeding is so hard! Especially in the beginning! You and baby are both learning how to do it still. 1 week isn’t long enough to master it. If you want to breastfeed don’t give up yet. It’s a lot of work but it’s worth it!
