I'm so unsure!

Tay • Mother of an amazing little boy and a beautiful baby girl. Been married for almost 5 years!
So my little guy's delivery at 8 lbs 3 oz about 2 1/2 years ago basically tore me apart. I had to have a catheter for a couple of weeks after I got home from the hospital and I still have random issues because of the tears. I had a 3rd degree and the doctor said I had at least 7 other tears, some into the uterus. It took 3 hours to sew me up after I had my little man. He had his hand by his temple and didn't move it so that caused a bit more damage than normal I guess. I had tons of nurses, and the doctor called in 2 surgeons and a urologist to get some second opinions. It was a pretty rough 10 weeks of recovery. The doctor said that an episiotomy would have made me tear more.
So the problem I have is trying to decide on which delivery I'd like to try for this time. I'm 35+5 today with our little lady and I'll get induced at 39+1, October 9th. He gave me the option of a c-section if I'd like it. He said that would be a good option, but I just don't know! I've heard that the second vaginal delivery is a bit easier for most people, But I'm not sure I want to risk it again.
I guess what my issue is, is I'm not sure which recovery would be easier to handle. I got post pardem depression pretty bad after our little guy and I'm expecting to have it again, I'd just like to focus more on our little miss and my son than recovery as much as I can. Carrying around a catheter kind of makes caring for baby (let alone sleeping) pretty difficult.
Has anyone else had something like this happen? Are c-sections on a fairly large woman (I weighed 240 at 5'6" before getting pregnant) harder to recover from? Any insight would be helpful!
