Has anyone had MTHFR and Kaiser insurance during their pregnancy? I just found out that I'm pregnant and I'm very afraid my baby will have neural tube defects if I'm not seen early enough to monitor my folate levels.  But Kaiser is saying they won't see me till 8 weeks, which is after the neural tubes are formed. The doctor I saw for my MTHFR completely disregarded it as even being a problem. He said they would not even test for it.  But when I lived in Colorado my vitamins and blood levels were monitored every 6-8weeks by a hematologist. Anyone had any experience getting proper treatment during pregnancy at Kaiser (I'm in so cal area).
