Miscarriage?

Hi so I just found out about a week ago in an ultrasound that my baby had no heartbeat i am 9 weeks now and I find it still hard to believe I am getting another ultrasound done to confirm if it’s true. Today I started spotting but it wasn’t heavy, is this a sign of miscarriage or what should I be expecting?? I’m supposed to choose wether to get surgery or not if what they told me at the doctor is true. I am trying so hard to have faith and hope that everything is ok but it’s extremely difficult, sometimes I feel as if my husband doesn’t understand

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I’ve been where you are 3 times and it is so hard. Personally I would chose the surgery. I’ve done both and for me it was easier to heal mentally and physically than miscarrying naturally. The pain and the contractions with miscarrying naturally was too much for me.

I am so sorry. I think the spotting may be a sign that your body is getting ready to miscarry. I had an early miscarriage around 5 weeks and it was just like a heavier late period. It was just my heart that hurt. And now I just had a d&c Friday at 12 and a half weeks but baby’s heart stopped at 8 and a half. I am glad I chose the surgery so that I could get it over with so that I could try to start healing physically and mentally. I didn’t feel like I could go through the physical pain and then also the likely chance I would see my tiny baby. I also hadn’t had any bleeding or anything at all, so my body hadn’t even tried to start miscarrying on its own. So a nurse told me it could take a while to work even with the pill. But every person is different and different things work for them. So do what you feel is right. Life is cruel sometimes but we will get through it. Thinking of you.❤️

I was 9 weeks when I had my first ultrasound and found out that there was no heartbeat. I went back 1 days later to verify and that there was no more fetal growth. 😢 I elected to wait for my body to miscarry naturally but it took about 5 weeks from the time the baby had stopped growing, about two weeks after my first ultrasound. 
By the time I went for the follow up ultrasound I had already started to have cramps and spotting but it took another 4 days for the miscarriage to happen. It was frustrating not knowing when it would happen.

How long did it take for any of you to have a normal period after a miscarriage? Or did it just go back to normal?..
