Do you need Muslin Squares

On the hospital bag lists Muslin squares are always listed so you need them? 
If you didn't use them what did you use instead?

Definitely use them. For spit up, dribble, quick wipe.

I told my friend who’s pregnant, but twice as many as you think you’ll need then buy some more 😂 don’t just get big standard ones. Invest in the big ones too. We got three from John Lewis for £16 and they are invaluable, as giant sun shades, big vomit catchers, a bib, a swaddle, cover up for boob feeds xx

Used loads when mine were babies and my 5 year old still likes to have 4 different (Aldi - they wash well and lasted years!) ones in bed with him, like a comfort...

Yes!! I was advised to have 20-30 in stock which I thought was ridiculous. I have a three week old and we use them for all sorts of stuff they're really useful. We don't use bibs, use Muslins instead. My baby is not sicky or dribbly but always use one under his chin when bottle feeding. Nice to put on changing mat so it's not so cold for baby. And another to place over his bits while grabbing a new Nappy in case he goes. Can use for swaddling, covering up when BFing in public. I hold one under my bra / over my top when BF in case I leak when baby falls off. They're just generally useful for all sorts!

I bought about a million and never needed to use them with my son. He was never a sicky baby and I never leaked. They are still sat in the drawer in his room and I'll use them this time if needed.

I didn’t pack any in my hospital bag, but when back home I started to use these instead of bibs as my baby is sick a LOT. It helps to protect my clothes, but not all babies are sick so much.

Used loads when daughter was a baby. Still use them every now and again now she's a toddler. Especially when teething!
