Toddler took my stuffed animal........?

So I'm one of those people that still sleeps with their teddy bear. I've grown less attached because of having a child and being pregnant, as well as traveling a lot (I leave it at home to not risk losing it) but it's just habit for me to sleep with it. Have been since I was 1, so 26 years!

Well my 2 1/2 year old has taken a loving to it, and has now been religiously sleeping with it for 2 weeks now.

I have a feeling it's because it smells like me, or something like that, but I'm just really worried that the darn thing is going to disintegrate and she's gonna be devistated.

Should I try to find her very own stuffed bear (she has a huge collection of stuffed animals and has yet to really love one like this) or just let her keep it until it dies?
