IUD’s and cramping?

Has anyone ever experienced cramping even badly after getting an IUD put in? It’s been a week since I got the Mirena IUD put in and I’ve been cramping everyday since and I was wondering if anyone had any similar experience? Also wondering if anyone has had bad cramps with IUD’s during their period and if they went away after it ended or sometime during?

I have the kyleena so my experience may be a little different from yours. I did experience a lot of cramping after the insertion. It lasted for  almost two weeks. The cramps during my cycle are not too bad.

I got mine in February and I have been spotting since. The pain from the insertion went away after a week for me during my period with the iud my cramps were really intense but they were definitely lighter
