I have an almost 2.5 year old. She has been using Avent Soothies since she was born. She is having issues with her teeth, they’re getting spaced. It’s past due to take them away, but the thing is she will not take a nap or go to bed at night without one. She will suck on it until she falls asleep then it will fall out but she finds it in her sleep if she moves over & puts it right back in. I feel like a bad mother for letting her have it this long. It comforts her so much. She gets nervous in busy stores and wants it too, if not she’ll pick her finger nails a lot. Ive tried cutting the top off of one before and she just cried. I don’t think I’m even explaining enough how much she “needs” her pacifier. It’s like she ALWAYS has one either in her mouth or hand. :( Any suggestions?
