Feeling alone in this world

I have always wanted to make a difference in this world. I go to one of the top universities in the US and there is so much competition. I am feeling so alone and empty because I have all of these high aspirations but my grades keep preventing me from getting into prestigious organizations and internships. It makes me feel like nothing. I keep getting rejecteded and it hurts...
