Am I being selfish?

A lot of ppl are asking me post my belly bump on social media and I'm not comfortable with it. I'm really insecure about my body before I was pregnant and now that I am it makes me feel extremely weird and insecure about it.  Is something wrong with me because I don't want to post or share pictures like that?

I hate bump pictures on social media its not my thing.yes i have some but they are on my phone private.my cousin posted them every week and it got annoying and that when i hated them.but tell them thats not your thing

I don't take bump pictures. It's not my thing. Tell them to take a picture of their cellulite and put it up first.

No, its your body, you chose who, when and where to show it to. If the people in you life want to see your bump then they should come visit you.

I don't do bump pictures. I'm 16 weeks and have not posted the first one, and I don't plan on it either. I'll take some pics at some point just to have to remember later but I'm definitely not posting any.

Nooo thank you! Bump pictures make me uncomfortable. This is my 4th baby, first 2 never took any, my 3rd my sister insisted that it was her gift to me for my baby shower (she's a part time photographer) and I let her but didn't intend to have anything posted online...she posted anyways, not a single person liked or commented with anything nice and I cried and felt worse about myself. It won't happen this pregnancy either!

There's no need for them to be on social media  especially if you don't want them there.

The exception wound be a family member on another continent asking for a pic but that's what private mail is for. The folk you work with and people from school don't need to see it.

Personally I like bump pics especially close friends and now and then kinda ones. 
They don't need to get the belly out and show off their brand new fiery stripes keep it classy

Nothing is wrong and you're not selfish! You're allowed to feel like this and chose to post or not. They can post their own bellies on social media.

Nope! I'm in the same boat as you. I've never even taken a bump picture and I get asked for them all the time! And the classic "Why don't you??". I am insecure (about my weight gain) as well. And I feel like it's a personal thing anyways.

Nope! I'm not posting anything on Facebook, but if it happens to show up cuz someone tagged me, then whatever. I just don't like posting a bunch of personal stuff.
