Help?

I’m going to apologize in advance for this long post but I feel so lost.

I was diagnosed with PCOS in January. They did an ultrasound and labs on me, and all my labs came back within normal range, but said my glucose to insulin ratio was off, meaning I most likely have an insulin resistance. I have cysts on my ovaries (string of pearls). My cycles are extremely long and irregular. I asked if metformin was an option, and she said I would be a good candidate for it, but usually prescribes it in conjunction with ovulation drugs (ie clomid). she thinks if I lose 40 pounds my body will regulate and I will ovulate on my own and if I’m not, then she will prescribe ovulation stimulants.

She then refers me to an endocrinologist and for a 2 hour glucose test. I got the results and my fasting glucose is higher than my 2 hour glucose and both are in normal range. I was hoping to feel like I had some kind of answer from this test but honestly I’m just more confused. What does that mean if my 2 hour is lower than my fasting? I have an appointment at the beginning of May with the endocrinologist.

On top of all of this, I purchased OvuSense and it is basically confirming I’m not ovulating.

I just wonder if anyone has been in a similar situation and has any information that may be helpful.
