After experiencing an ectopic in November, we were faced with the difficult decision of what to do with the remains of our baby. Our health board gave us a variety of options but had to decide on discharge from hospital and sign all of the consent forms. We chose a private cremation and were warned that they didn’t think we’d get any ashes back. Fortunately we did. We decided to have a bear made locally and I made a heart shaped pouch that I placed the ashes in and they were then sewn into the bear. I think she did a fantastic job of making him and even incorporated the tartan that my husband had as his wedding kilt 😍
