I am using a doula for my first pregnancy.

We love her and I am really excited about the idea of having my husband AND an experienced coach in the room.

While my husband has been nothing except for completely supportive, I think he would really like to hear what it was like having a doula from other husbands’ perspectives: you only hear about the benefits from the mama or the doula herself.

So ladies, if you used a doula, would you mind briefly telling me what your husband felt and why? Specifically: what about her presence helped him be a better birth coach?
