How do you feel with teens that are like 14-16 on Birth control but to control their periods ?

I went on birth control at 12. im 14 and I have an unnamed condition that can't be diagnosed because there's no name for it my doctors have found. I used to bleed 14-20 days and then have 10 days in between. I wasn't shedding lining, I was bleeding fresh blood! it was causing me to be extremely pale, become anemic, have dizzy and fainting spells, I couldn't do anything. if I hadn't have gone on birth control I would have ended up infertile or I would have died after giving birth from bleeding out. I almost ended up in a wheelchair from being so weak!!! I have a 2-4 day period every 28 days now! birth control genuinely saved my life, it has nothing to do with age. while yes, im not a virgin any longer, it has nothing to do with my birth control making me able to be a "slut" as some people say it will

I definitely agree. My cycle was so bad I would get my period every other week and each time it would last about a week. It was awful! Getting on the pill even though I was not sexually active was the best choice for me.

I completely agree with it; I suffer from dysmenorrhea and have been on BC since I was 14 or 15.
It helped control my periods and give me more predictability as well as lessen the pain I was having.

I started birth control at 13. I started my period at 10. I lost my virginity at 13 also. Mom put me on BC because she found out I had sex, but also on top of that... My period made me wanna throw up. I ended up getting checked out of school too much until I got put on BC. It stopped the cramps completely, & made it to where I KNEW when my period would start.

I have PCOS, my first period was at 9, at 13 I was formally diagnosed and put on the pill. Now I have Skyla (IUD) and I've been weened off metformin because cutting ALL soy and rbst from my diet alleviated a bunch of symptoms and I was able to ovulate again.

I started my period around 10 or 12, after two years of difficult periods my mom decided to let me get on birth control (I had no idea what it was till i went to my doctors; I had no desire to know) I have to say it helped my periods but after a year or two I got off of it because I could never be consistent in taking it each day. I was not having sex so it wasn't a big deal. I wish I knew everything I do now about my body and birth control when I was younger.
