I can’t believe I did this. They sent me to the hospital for a nonstress test after my appointment. They said if everything came out good they’d give me a chance to go into labor on my own or induce on Sunday. I’m 40+2 weeks. Everything came out good on the test. Baby’s measuring 6 lbs. I’m 2-3 cm 80% effaced. If I can avoid being induced I will because I had a really bad experience the first time. Anyways, nurse calls my doctor and then comes in and says “We’re admitting you. We’re going to start pitocin right now”

My husbands eyes and mine got big as hell as we were not expecting it AT ALL since everything came out fine.

I told her my body’s already progressing as I was only 1.5 cm 4 days ago and they haven’t given it a chance to go on its own. She kept insisting that my body was ready already and that pitocin should do the trick. It was really hard to talk her out of it but finally she gave me discharge papers and I never changed so fast in my life. I told my kids I’d be right back since I was only expecting an ultrasound so I’d feel guilty as hell if they just all of a sudden didn’t see me for a couple of days.

I know some of you are praying your baby’s to come soon, but I prefer to wait for baby to come on his own 😭
