I’m super excited about becoming a mom, and I want to shout it from the rooftop. I’m just nervous how people will react and what they will think of me. I’m not married, but have been with my boyfriend for 3.5 years. We talk about marriage, but it wasn’t a priority in the near future. Some of my co-workers have said judgmental things to me in the past about my sister who is also an unwed mom, so I’m aware of their opinions already.

This was not my plan! I’ve been on the pill since I was 14. I’m only a few years into my career. I want to surround myself with support, not judgment.

Can anyone offer advice on how to deal with any perceived judgment?
