Buying a house and wedding?!

Hello ladies!!! Has anyone purchased a house with your fiancé and still pulled off a wedding? I feel a bit overwhelmed. I want to know we can pull off both!! Am I alone? Please share your experiences :) thank you!

We had our house for a couple years but we were remodeling which is expensive and stressful so yes you can do it! Good luck and congrats such exciting times in your lives!

Yes! We BUILT a house that was finished in July and got married in September. We were a little tight on the budget for a while but I wouldn't change it for the world. Really, most of your wedding planning is done way before the wedding (at least ours was) so it wasn't too much extra stress on us. :) You can definitely do it!

My husband and I bought a house, got married, bought two new cars and had a baby all within a year and a half. It's possible if you save your money!

We bought a house and were planning our wedding while I was in school full time and working two jobs. Plus my mom was moving out of state so I also had to clean out my childhood home. It can be done!! I am not a super organized person, but I had to be with all of this stuff going on. The most important thing I had to do was set a budget and stick to it. ( set aside wedding costs/ housing costs)Then I just had to set aside time accordingly. I'm not going to lie to you, it was a VERY stressful year and I'm so glad it's over, but it was all worth it in the end!!  Good luck!!

We got married at 19 & 20. My Oma (a 90 year old Swedish German woman) pitched the biggest fit when my parents got angry that I was engaged. So much so that her fit made my mother offer to pay for our wedding. It was nice, till she power tripped and threw her dream wedding not mine. Oma told me 2 "important things" on my wedding day 1st that Great Oma Ester could finally rest in peace knowing someone got married at the right age & B) that its just a little prick and it won't hurt a bit tonight. (She was teasing, she knew we were each other's firsts) My husband went to school to be a mechanical engineer, I went in for accounting, I recently switched to Nursing. We bought our house about 9 months after my husband started working.

We got an FHA loan with an MCC tax credit (20% of the interest we pay get given back to us in taxes, its an amazing program look it up!!)

I have a couple friends who actually did the same and yes it works! You would be amazed at the things you can pull together for a very inexpensive price. Be creative and shop thrifty. Pintrest is amazing for do it yourself easy decoration and dollar tree, goodwill and all other cheap places can have some crafty things to inspire ideas. Buy a house, and when you get married make it small for family, then do a housewarming/wedding party at the same time with everyone and have guests brings wedding gifts or do a money tree, and create a pot luck so everyone is also fed. Easy! Don't stress, these things work out if you want them to. :-) good luck!

I am doing the same exact thing!! 😊 My fiancé are getting married 6/25 next year and we just went into contract on a house. It's definitely nerve wrecking. But our deposits down for our wedding venue and many of the vendors are scheduled and contracted-- we're doin this... Lol 😋😘

My fiancé & I bought a house in June, were set to get married on this Saturday ( September 19th) but he was in a dirt bike accident so it's been cancelled for the time being he has a broke back right now lol, but everything was set & ready to go! It is possibly. Stressful, but you got this!

My boyfriend and I have been trying to close on a house for 4 months now with a month an a half old baby! He came early due to all the stress from the house ordeal. Take lots of deep breaths and maybe a glass or two of wine lol.
