I'm late

I'm 17 and I have never been late on my period. I was supposed to start today and haven't gotten it. Yes I am sexually active and I'm scared I might be pregnant. Like I've said I've never been late and I woke up yesterday morning and my boobs hurt so bad. My best friend told me that when she knew she was pregnant. I've heard the the clearblue test can be accurate starting 5 days before your missed period. Should I buy a test or should I wait.
