How soon after a BFP do you and your partner tell your parents and siblings the news? Right away? Or do you wait a few weeks?

If you wait, how many weeks do you wait? I'm curious! :-)

We didn't tell until after 12 weeks. I wanted to make it that far and have my prenatal screenings before sharing the news.

I told my SO & immediate family immediately. Then I told social media at 7 weeks. If you're gonna miscarry, you're gonna miscarry, there's no getting around it. There's never really a "safe" time to tell people, I believe.

We told my dad right away because he lives with us. I waited until I was 7 weeks to tell my mother and 9 weeks for my brother and sister.

I didn't tell anyone but OH and we decided not to until our 12week scan. However people began getting suspicious from my being tired all the time and got into a flap about why we didn't publicise it. So it was forced out of me at 10 weeks. I got to 12 and discovered I'd had a MMC at 9. Will not be telling anyone until at least 16 weeks this time!

I miscarried at four weeks and six weeks. I likely will tell no one aside from my fiancé until 12+.

I always tell family right away. It would have been much worse to tell them about my miscarriages if they had no idea I was pregnant in the first place.

We told his parents and siblings and my mom and sisters right away,  but I lost the pregnancy at 5w6d, so if it happens again,  we're waiting until 1st ultrasound and heartbeat before we tell closer family and after 1st trimester to tell everyone else.

I told my family immediately. My mom knew within 10 mins of the test coming back positive, and my grandparents knew shortly after that. We waited to tell my boyfriends family only because we wanted to do it in person instead of over the phone. I was 7 weeks when I found out. We didn't announce to everyone else until 12 weeks.
