My, now, boyfriend and I had been talking since September and at first we weren’t serious about it because of the distance ( he lives an hour and a half away ). Maybe around November he caught feelings and December I caught a bit more. It wasn’t until January that we for sure wanted something but it’s kinda weird we caught feelings we hadn’t met in person yet up until February. When I met him I was a bit shy as I always am meeting someone new but I actually felt really safe and comfortable just being around him. After that I didn’t see him until a month later but that time it felt like we’d seen each other so many times and it was so great. We FaceTime all the time, he helps me deal with my moments and breakdowns due to anxiety and depression like he’ll stay talking to me until I’ve calmed down or I fall asleep. He’s so patient, caring, sweet, comforting and he knows how to make me laugh or smile even when I’m in one of my episodes. For about a week he had been telling me he has a surprise for me and before he was on his way to me this Sunday he asked to make sure my favorite color is yellow. When he got here he walked me to his car and opened the door for me and told me to close my eyes. When he got in he pulled something from behind my seat and said “You know I love you very much and I know we haven’t made it official but will you be my girlfriend?” and when I opened my eyes he had yellow roses ! It meant even more to me considering yellow means loyalty, happiness, respect, and fresh ( you know like a new chapter in our relationship ). After we went to a spot since the first time we met and did our things /.\ then a while later I got in a mood because all that week had been so hectic so he allowed me to cry in his arms and I just felt so safe because the way he held me was like him saying he was there and I was okay and for once I didn’t feel alone and scared. I really appreciate him and everything he does for me as I am and do for him. He’s my bestfriend, considering I hardly talk to people or have friends now, and the person I run to for EVERYTHING like I tell him anything and everything no matter what it is. He’s truly an angel sent to me and I’m so blessed to have him. It may sound crazy to many considering we don’t see each other a lot but if anyone was in my position they’d see how much of an amazing person he is.
