I've been TTC for over a year now. My periods have always been irregular, so my doctor decided to put me on birth control for 6 months to regulate my cycle. Hoping I conceive after the 6 months is up.

I have PCOS, the current treatment to make me more baby friendly is 3 more years of Skyla & my current diet that has eliminated ALL soy and rbst. (And lose 70-85 pounds, easier on the joints and reduces my risk of blood clots, since I've had a clot from a surgery.) Then 3 months before we start trying I get off Skyla and restart my metformin routine. Then we try for 3 months, if no baby comes, I go in for testing and probably will be declared infertile and put on a fertility medication. We try for 3 more months and if no baby still comes, then we start IVF.

My OB is an expert in PCOS, and believes that because cutting soy and rbst allowed me to be weekend off metformin and still ovulate regularly AND that we have gotten pregnant 3 times, but never made post 9 weeks is an indicator that my tubes are intact, and my eggs are crummy, but with some help I'll be a baby making machine! This method worked for my cousins who have PCOS as well.
