How many of you have not been dilated at all and induced? If so, were you able to have baby vaginally or did it end up as a csection?

The reason I am asking is bc during my dr visit this morning, 38wks 2days my doctor said she was concerned about my swelling. I have gone up 5lbs in the past two weeks due to swelling and she said if it has gotten worse by next weeks appt she wants to discuss induction dates and maybe inducing in my due date. When she checked my cervix today, there was no dilation and she had to push down on my belly to even get far enough up there to check! 🤦🏼‍♀️

My urine has been fine and she said she is happy with my blood pressure.

My concern is that I still won’t be dilated next week and that they will induce me, I’ll go through hours of labor, and then find out I need a csection.

Thoughts to easy my mind?

I’m excited that I’ll get to meet my baby soon, I’m just scared of inducing and scared to possibly need a csection.
