Way easier than expected 😳
Our firstborn was a colicky baby, and we were anticipating that again this time around, but baby girl is so calm and chill. Shes a great sleeper, feeds twice at night (3am and 5am), takes the pacifier (her brother hated them, and would comfort nurse until I felt red raw), enjoys baths...
I dunno, man. 
There isn’t much to say except each baby truly has their own personality. Some people are eccentric, some are lax, some in between—I guess it’s not any different for babies.
Buuuut. Babies definitely vibe off of our energy. If you’re stressed out, they will feel it. Take a deep breath and remember that for them to feel safe and comfortable, you need to be calm and consistent as their caretaker. Being a second time mom probably helped in this aspect: my firstborn is only a year and a half, so a lot of this still feels like clockwork to me.
Breathe. You’re doing amazing. This is just a season, and it will pass :)

I have a 3 year old and a 6 year old. The newborn stage is a BREEZE! Even with the complete lack of sleep.

My baby never wants to be put down. Literally take him to the bathroom with me. Showering everyday has gone out the window. I sleep from around 8am-11am and that’s pretty much it. Co sleeping was a no for me but literally he could be asleep 45mins as soon as I lay him in the bassinet he screams. From 12am-6am is the hardest he’s still on his womb time.

Obviously it’s hard and since I’m a FTM I didn’t know exactly what to expect but if you go into motherhood expecting it to not be hard then you’ve misled yourself lol.

I'm not even gonna lie, I'm fucking shocked how much easier it's been 😅😂
My first was a hard baby, but she was wonderful too. She never wanted put down, would not just lay in her pack and play awake (unless she was just waking up), terrible nurser (probably tongue tied but I didnt know that then), my supply was pretty awful, and she dropped weight really bad between 1 and 2 months, and was diagnosed with silent reflux at 4 months which was the actual cause of the weight drop. 
This baby: sleeps like a dream for a newborn at least. She goes to sleep around 11/midnight and wakes up around 4, and then sleeps until 7 or so. And then usually wakes up for a bit and then takes a nap in early afternoon  The late bedtime doesnt even bother me because I'm usually awake late anyways. Shes a great nurses, I'm pumping probably way too much milk but I dont have a choice cause they hurt 😂😅  
I guess I paid my dues the first time around 😂 she was a wild thing until somewhere between a year and 18 months, and now shes just a dream 😅 other than with potty training and going to bed (not to sleep, just getting her to lay down)

I’m a STM so I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. DH has stepped up to help with my older daughter so that’s been great. And really I’ve felt more even keeled this time than I did with my first.

WAY harder than I expected. Things have gotten easier since the first couple of weeks, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit how hard this has been. The lack of sleep is what makes it hardest for me. My baby has a good temper and usually falls asleep no problem (except last night and tonight - go figure) and will only wake 2-3 times/ night to feed most nights.

Mine eats every 2/3hours except at night we get one 4/5hour stretch I keep noise and lights going all day then dark and quiet at night. I know every baby is different and hope you sleep deprived mommas get some rest!!!
