There's no right answer to this. What works for one baby may not work for others. My best advice is to start with the cheapest brand and if that doesn't work move up from there.

for us Huggies were literally the only ones that never leaked and we tried all the different brands because we got samples of all of them

Pampers for nb then I started with huggies once they hit moths

With my daughter pampers were best at first but now that she is 8 pounds currently seems like huggies are becoming the new favorite. They fit her better. 
All depends on the babies body shape really :)
