Im currently 35 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my maternity leave. I'm a ftm so I've obviously never done this before so I need some help. I live in California and have worked at my job for 6 months. HR told me that I don't qualify for maternity leave and I just have to use all of my saved vacation and sick days and those are the only paid days off I will get. Is this true? If so, do i need to fill out paperwork? Can i apply for something else to get more paid days off? I'm clueless and hr hasn't been very reliable in helping me with this process.
