Endometriosis: To do Lupron or to see a fertility specialist

Dayna

Well I spoke with my OBGYN today to discuss options for treating my Endometriosis. He has given me 3 choices, I can either:

1. Do the Lupron injections which will put me into an early menopause

2. I can go see the fertility specialist to discuss fertility treatments so I can (fingers crossed) get pregnant

3. Just continue on how I have been with no treatment while my Endometriosis countiues to spread more and more throughout out my body

Now I am given these 3 options because they need my periods to stop, my Endometriosis has begun to spread to my other organs and they wont do anymore surgeries because they fear if they do it will progress faster because more scare tissue will build. And 2 out of the 3 options are going to have to be paid outta pocket. The Lupron (which insurance may or may not cover, wont know until my OB sends the order to get the shot) is $800 a shot and I have to do the shot once a month for 6 months and the fertility specialist will be however much it will be depending on what works and what doesn't. So here I am stuck between a rock and a hard place again. I'm at a loss and dont know what to do, I want to have kids but if I do the Lupron then I wont be able too. But if I have kids then I cant treat the Endometriosis and help keep it from continuing to spread. Anyone have any advice? I'm all ears. This journey has been so hard and frustrating, I'm just tired of being in pain and not being able to do normal things..I'm just so tired..
