When is officially 3rd trimester

When does 3rd Trimester actually begin? My doc says 27 weeks and all the charts I find say 27 weeks but I know alot of ppl say 28 weeks so I wasn't sure!!

I go by this. Everyobe rounds up, but both my midwife and specialist say this is mathematically correct. I'm the person that likes to be technical lol

28 weeks would be when you have entered the 3rd trimester . These charts will drive you crazy because all of them have different weeks put on it . Just ask your doctor he/she will let you know !

My midwife said end of 27th week, at 28 weeks is officially the start of the 3rd trimester but in my head it makes more sense to have it start at 27 weeks..
