Early Braxton hicks = early labor??

Question

So with my first pregnancy, I don't remember having any BH. This time around the BH started around 18 weeks and I probably have 10-15 a day. I went in to labor naturally at 38 weeks the first time around. Would early BH indicate that I'm more likely to go in to labor sooner again?

Not necessarily. With my 1st I started having BH at 25/26 weeks and my daughter was born naturally at 34 weeks. With my 2nd i started having BH at 16 weeks and my son was born at 31 weeks. I'm pg with my 3rd and didn't start having BH until about 24/25 weeks.

BH are completely normal and safe as long as you're not having more than 6 an hour. When you have them you can try and relax your uterus by laying on your side and drinking ice cold water. That's what my nurse tells me each week when she comes to visit me. I get the p17 injections to prevent preterms labor.
