So my wee one is 13 months old and recently had an evaluation with a therapist and is required to do OT and eventually PT. They don’t want to overwhelm her all at once. At first they thought she was autistic but after her evaluation they just think she is a “sensory kid” and has sensory processing disorder. I’ve done some reading and research and asked her therapist a million and one questions. She goes once a week and has to do brushings and compressions every 2 hours at home. She does not crawl or pull herself up, refuses to put weight on her legs, will NOT eat anything solid except purées (fruits and some veggies) nothing textured at ALL. She will gag to the point of throwing up is it’s a textured food. She is still on formula because of this. She also doesn’t speak only babbles. I don’t know anyone who has a child with similar issues. I would just like to pick the brain of someone who has been through this or is going through this. I worry constantly. She’s such a sweet and happy baby which makes my heart whole. I just want to do what’s best for her.
