Anterior placenta?

So i went for my anatomy scan on Wednesday. She typed on the screen “placenta anterior”. Please don’t think im stupid, because she didn’t say anything after she typed it or anything, didn’t tell me I had one, but typed that on the screen. Does that mean I have an anterior placenta? I can feel the baby’s kicks, doctor said I’m feeling him kick, and I know I am because its not gas and it feels like gas but like a kicking gas is the only way I can explain it. I thought if you had anterior placenta you wouldn’t be able to feel the kicks? I’m 21 weeks and can feel very subtle kicks, I just thought people with anterior placenta can’t feel kicks this early. Btw if you can’t tell, this is my first baby and first pregnancy that’s made it this far.

That’s what it means and I felt kicks at 18 weeks with my anterior placenta. It all just depends on baby’s positioning. Some people can’t feel them but others there isn’t a big difference. :)

It just means baby implanted there. No concerns at all w it- its normal. Just means that kicks might take longer to feel cause the placenta is blocking baby from your belly- thats it :)

I’ve had anterior placenta with both pregnancies. With my first I could feel her from 15 weeks and by 24 from the outside. Her kicks never hurt like my friends described and never woke me up. This pregnancy I felt nothing until 21 weeks and nothing on the outside until 26 weeks. This leads me to think there are different degrees of anterior placenta; that it’s more of a spectrum.

I had an anterior placenta with my son. Everything was fine. I did feel kicks but they weren’t as strong. I think the kicks started around 18 weeks for me. It was my second pregnancy. It ended up moving on its own. No complications
