What is your opinion as a christian?

Do you think we should just preach on feel good messages and sugar coated words to bring people into the fold or should we preach hell fire and brimstone and that sin is sin and we must repent and turn away from sin or burn in hell?

Salvation. And I'd rather offend someone all the way into heaven than to lie and let them go to hell. No fire/brimstone, no candy coating. Just Jesus.

I don't think either of those options are biblical... What God lays out in the Bible is that sin is serious and grace is  amazing. If we're not teaching both, we're missing half of the good news.

We should teach about the good news of Jesus Christ.  About salvation. Being baptised in Jesus name for the remission of your sins, being filled with the holy ghost And about having the spirit of the living God down on the inside to help us live holy.

From what I understand (I have just recently began my journey back to God) that God is love and we are supposed to show only love to others. Yes we are supposed to teach others of God, but that does not mean using hatred and shame to do so.

I do preach. A lot. As in every single day. 
I follow Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:19,20, 2 Timothy 4:2, Acts 10:42, Romans 10:13-15, 1 Thessalonians 1:5,6. 
I follow Jesus example of how he preached. We are to follow in his footsteps so what better minister is there to follow? 
The basics I teach: 
The message of the bible - Genesis 3:15, 22:18, Matthew 6:10, Romans 16:20, 1 Corinthians 15:28, Galatians 3:16, 29, Revelation 11:15, 12:9, 20:2.
I teach from a bible learning aid called What does the bible really teach? It's a paragraph question and answer book. I like it because I don't remember every important verse for a person to learn.

Neither. Those are opposite extremes that push people away. Not to mention that, for me personally anyway, unless God puts it on your heart specifically you show more by example not by words and more words and more words...does that make any sense?

Jesus is love... Preach love and kindness.. Once people bave felt kindness and acceptance, then theyw ill seek what we have.. And what we have is jesus and everlasting life through him... Teach what jesus taught... Love.from the father...

The love of Jesus and how He washes us of sin, but the truth should be told and not worried about stepping on people's toes!! It should just be done in a loving manner
