Do you let your little one sleep with a stuffed animal or blanket/burp cloth yet? When is it okay

Too afraid that one night she will roll over and be too tired to lift her face out of the blanket/pillow/stuffy.  Too many stories of babies dying this way regardless of how strong/mobile they are.  It will be a sleep sack until atleast 12 months for us.

Just her sleepsack and about 3 pacifiers 🤣 When she’s a year old, I’ll wean the pacifiers; if she needs a security object most likely I’ll give her a lovey.

We keep a small Minnie Mouse stuffed toy in the bed with her. She also has one in the pack n play at my moms house.

It only takes a small piece of fabric to cover a baby’s nose. I want to wait until my baby is old enough to understand why and how to remove something that obstructs her airway. 🤷🏼‍♀️

No. It’s too scary. Mine wouldn’t appreciate a lovey at this age anyway.

Rarely I will let her have her lovey. I probably would be ok with doing it more but daycare can’t give it to her for naps until 12 months so I don’t want her to get used to it because then they’d have a hard time getting her to nap without it.

My son sleeps with a lovey that I modified. It’s one of those blankets with an animal head in one corner; I cut off all the extra fabric so that it’s only 4x4”. We let him have it for supervised sleep for a month until I was confident he couldn’t accidentally get it over his face, and now he uses it overnight.

Our little guy has a "lovey" that he sleeps with.  It's just a small blanket with an elephant head. I hang out with it under my shirt once in a while so it smells like me. It definitely helped him sleep through the night and my husband made sure it was breathable enough that if it covered his face he could still breath. He does not sleep with it on his face but cuddles it. If he moves away from it while he's sleeping, when he wakes up, he crawls around the crib until he finds it and falls back asleep with it. It's so sweet.

I think that it definitely depends on the child. Mine has a really flat pillow and then a little blanket animal thing because she’s a tummy sleeper and wants to cuddle with it. But she is very strong and can stand, crawl and roll very well so I am not concerned. We also just started crib sleeping because of colic so she will not sleep with absolutely nothing in there but Every baby is different. Ask your ped for advice and go with your mom gut! There is no right or wrong ring answer here.
