Hello all. So today I started having bad pain in my back, but only on the right side just under my ribs. I took some Tylenol which lessened the pain for an hour, but it is back now and going into my right lower stomach. I’m currently laying on my couch, literally crying from the pain. I didn’t want to wake my husband, so I can down to use the heating pad in hopes that would help. It is not.

Today I also started having issues with my bladder. I have an overwhelming sensation CONSTANTLY that I have to go to the bathroom, but when I go, 90% of the time nothing comes out.

I am in my second trimester. 26 weeks today. Anyone know what this could be or have any remedies? I’m desperate to get rid of this pain.

So my husband ended up taking me to the hospital around 1:30am. At first they weren’t sure what was going on, and I could only take Tylenol. Baby’s heartbeat was normal and consistent which was a huge relief. After several doctors, one from my practice confirmed around or after 4am that it was a kidney infection. They gave me antibiotics and I am still here because they needed to monitor me and the baby. She is okay still, and I am feeling much better. Still having pain, but not nearly as bad as this morning. Mainly just relieved to know our baby girl is okay.
