Which Birth control do you consider is the most effective for you?

I'm 20 and I want to get on birth control soon but I'm not sure which one would be the most effective for me, also I'm not really good at taking pills! I have read that some birth control have really bad side effects like weight gain or acne.. So I'm not sure which one would work better and doesn't have really bad side effects.

I have an IUD and it's the coolest thing. It's over 99.9% at preventing pregnancy, and they're good for YEARS. Insertion hurts but you can get nonhormonal ones that don't affect your body's natural hormones. I've been encouraging everyone I know to get one.

I have Nexplanon, an arm implant, and I really like it. I've had for only a few months now but it seems to be really effective and better for me than the pill (because I'm incredibly forgetful). Also the placement (underside of the upper arm) is really convenient because I always forget about it, it never irritates me, and it's out of the way.

I love the Mirena IUD. Before I got on it I used to be on the pill, and I literally couldn't stand it I was so emotional all the time and my periods were worse. So there was a long time that I wasn't on anything. And then I got the IUD 3 months into my relationship, and I love it so much.

I would recommend trying out the Nuva Ring. It's a small ring that sits inside your vagina near your cervix. You literally cannot feel anything!! And it can stay in during sex (but it MAY fall out depending on how big your partner is). It releases a steady flow of hormones and then you take it out 1 week out of each month which is when you get your period. It worked really really well for me since I'm also terrible with pills. It really regulates the hormones which was the best and I literally had almost zero negative side effects!! The only issue is that I was more prone to yeast infections , which I am sure varies from person to person.

My first birth control was the Depo shot and I gained 30 lbs !!!! It was horrible and the weight never went away it just stuck there. I'm on lesina (?) now which is a pill. I'm really good at taking pills since I have hypothyroidism so I've been taking a pill daily since I was like 8
