IVF newbie

Maria
Hiiiiii beautiful community!
Still learning how to use this app and posted this in the wrong room... So here I go again.
My DH and I have been together for 8 years and married for 2. We are 28 years old and have no kids, but love our pets as our own. We've been actively trying for 1.5 years with no luck and with me having pcos (SO to my Cysters - hayyy!) we looked into a fertility doctor to help us out.
Come to find out; I'm not the one with the problem but my DH is apparently sterile. This as you can imagine came as a huge shock to us and all summer we've been to doctor after doctor to get tested and find a solution. We finally we're referred to IVFMD clinic here in Miami and after our consultation and lab work - it turns out IVF is the only way to go for us.

Is anyone else here starting IVF or have their partner be the one with the fertility problem? I find that most forums and TTC boards are very geared mainly towards female issues and infertility but very few, if any, towards men.
IVF is very scary - I mean have you see the procedure to remove the mature eggs! - and I have no one in my inner circle to reach out too and talk openly about regarding what's to come. I'm nervous and excited but feeling stressed about the financial obligations this will entail; our insurance covers absolutely nothing. Our parents are in denial, especially his, as to how two young healthy people need to go through this in order to have a family. So no support from that end either.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post :)
